Taxonomy
Meekopora magnusi was named by Nakrem (1994). Its type specimen is PMO A42156/1-3 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kapp Wærn KWAE-1-2.0 m, which is in an Artinskian offshore limestone in the Kapp Starostin Formation of Svalbard and Jan Mayen.
