Taxonomy

Ramipora hochstetteri was named by Toula (1875). It is the type species of Ramipora.

Synonyms

Ramipora fragilis was named by Morozova (1986). Its type specimen is PIN 3947/198 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Abrosimova River, Outcrop 11390, Novaya Zemlya, which is in a Roadian marine horizon in the Gerkinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was synonymized subjectively with Ramipora hochstetteri by Nakrem (1988).
Septopora phyllata was named by Malecki (1977). Its type specimen is A35219 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oppgangsdalen, Bjornoya, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Miseryfjellet Formation of Svalbard and Jan Mayen.

It was synonymized subjectively with Ramipora hochstetteri by Nakrem (1988).
