Taxonomy
Amiopsis dolloi was named by Traquair (1911). Its type specimen is IRSNB 1229, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sainte-Barbe coal mine, Bernissart, which is in a Barremian/Aptian lacustrine - small claystone/bituminous coal in the Sainte-Barbe Clays Formation of Belgium.
