Caypullisaurus bonapartei
Taxonomy
Caypullisaurus bonapartei was named by Fernández (1997). Its type specimen is MACN-N-32, a partial skeleton (anterior part of a skeleton incomplete beyond vertebrae 53), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Cerro Lotena, which is in a Tithonian marine horizon in the Vaca Muerta Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Caypullisaurus.
