Taxonomy
Dyoros (Dyoros) mucronata was named by Shen et al. (2005). Its type specimen is Niigata Univ NU-B652, a valve (Dorsal valve external mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Festningen, Unit 7-1, Svalbard (1989-91 coll), which is in a Wuchiapingian marine shale in the Kapp Starostin Formation of Svalbard and Jan Mayen.
