Ostodolepis brevispinatus

Taxonomy
Ostodolepis brevispinatus was named by Williston (1913). Its type specimen is FMNH UR 680, a set of postcrania (seven articulated vertebrae with associated ribs; dermal scales), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coffee Creek, 34 (Arroyo Formation), which is in a Kungurian terrestrial claystone/sandstone in the Arroyo Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Ostodolepis.
