Avalofractus abaculus
Taxonomy
Avalofractus abaculus was named by Narbonne et al. (2009). Its type specimen is NFM F-756 and is a cast. Its type locality is Spaniard's Bay, Upper Island Cove, which is in an Ediacaran basinal (siliceous) siltstone/siliciclastic in the Trepassey Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Avalofractus.
