Archaeaspis fedonkini
Taxonomy
Archaeaspis fedonkini was named by Ivantsov (2001). Its type specimen is PIN 3993/5053 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yorgia Bed, Zimnergorsk, which is in a Vendian prodelta sandstone in the Zimnegory Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Archaeaspis, Archaeaspinus.
It was recombined as Archaeaspinus fedonkini by Ivantsov (2007), Fedonkin et al. (2012).
