It was assigned to Ammonoidea by Benavides-Caceres (1956); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Engonoceratidae by Pervinquière (1907), Kennedy and Juignet (1981), Kennedy and Simmons (1991), Meister et al.
