Taxonomy
Pseudotissotia was named by Peron (1887) [Sepkoski's age data: K Ceno-u K Turo-l]. It is the type genus of Pseudotissotiinae.

It was assigned to Pseudotissotiinae by Chancellor (1982) and Meister (1989); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); to Pseudotissotidae by Meister et al. (2003); to Pseudotissotiidae by Hyatt (1903) and Gale et al. (2005); and to Pseudotissotiinae by Barroso-Barcenilla and Goy (2007).
