Taxonomy
Corsania (Januncia) rhoga was named by Saul and Squires (1997). Its type specimen is LACMIP 7889, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 790, East of Lower Lake village, which is in a Danian marine siliciclastic in the Martinez Formation of California.
