Tulites is a genus. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Tulitidae.

It was assigned to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Tulitidae by Arkell (1952), Arkell et al. (1957), Besnosov and Mitta (1993), Zatoń (2010).
