Taxonomy
Hemicerithium pagodum was named by Hoerle (1972). Its type specimen is USNM 646953, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TU 825 - Farley Creek, which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
