Redondasuchus reseri
Taxonomy
Redondasuchus reseri was named by Hunt and Lucas (1991). Its type specimen is NMMNH P-43312, an osteoderm (paramedian plate), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Apache Canyon, NMMNH L-485, which is in a Norian crevasse splay conglomerate in the Redonda Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Redondasuchus.
It was synonymized subjectively with Typothorax coccinarum by Long and Murry (1995).
