Naiaditidae was named by Scarlato and Starobogatov (1979).

It was synonymized subjectively with Myalinidae by Bouchet et al. (2010).

It was assigned to Ambonychioidea by Nevesskaja (2009); and to Prokopievskioidea by Carter et al. (2011).
