Taxonomy
Schlumbergerites was named by Deflandre-Rigaud (1962). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type is Schlumbergerites sievertsae. It is the type genus of Schlumbergeritidae.

It was assigned to Schlumbergeritidae by Deflandre-Rigaud (1962), Frizzell and Exline (1966), Zawidzka (1971); and to Dendrochirotida by Sepkoski (2002).
