Angistorhinus alticephalus
Taxonomy
Angistorhinus alticephalus was named by Stovall and Wharton (1936). Its type specimen is OMNH 733, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Roy Lamb Ranch, which is in a Carnian/Norian terrestrial claystone in the Colorado City Formation of Texas.
It was synonymized subjectively with Angistorhinus grandis by Lucas et al. (2002).
