Taxonomy
Eurycervix posthumus was named by Huene (1902). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gogolin, Upper Silesia, which is in an Anisian marine horizon in the Chorzow Formation of Poland. It is the type species of Eurycervix.
