Taxonomy
Uncinulina lunata was named by Kornicker and Imbrie (1958). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype CU 28,622 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 10: Railroad cut, Morris County, which is in an Asselian coastal shale in the Florena Formation of Kansas.
