Taxonomy
Parvispina harpago was named by Kornicker and Imbrie (1958). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype CU 28,623 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Deep Creek Road, SE of Manhattan, which is in an Asselian coastal shale in the Florena Formation of Kansas.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Deflandre-Rigaud (1962).
