Taxonomy
Biacumina rara was named by Mostler (1972). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fonsjoch, Karwendel, which is in a Hettangian carbonate limestone in the Fonsjoch Formation of Austria.
