Taxonomy
Terebra subsulcifera was named by Brown and Pilsbry (1911). Its type specimen is ANSP (no number), a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Terebra (Myurella) subsulcifera by Olsson (1964); it was recombined as Terebra (Oreoterebra) subsulcifera by Woodring (1970).
