Rioarribasuchus chamaensis

Taxonomy
Desmatosuchus chamaensis was named by Zeigler et al. (2002). Its type specimen is NMMNH P-32793, an osteoderm (paramedian plate), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Snyder Quarry, NMMNH 3845-1, which is in a Lacian/Sevatian crevasse splay mudstone/wackestone in the Chinle Formation of New Mexico.

It was recombined as Heliocanthus chamaensis by Parker (2007); it was recombined as Rioarribasuchus chamaensis by Lucas et al. (2006), Desojo et al. (2013) and Parker (2016).
