Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
A. B. Shaw 1962Shell small, oval or round, smooth-sided. Two forms of this shell appear to exist-an oval shell with central apex, and a round shell with anteriorly-displaced apex. Neither shows any tendency to coil and, therefore, are referred to Protoconchoides. The round shells are higher than the oval, and in this feature approach more closely to Scenella, s.s. The species S. varians shows similar variation.

The holotype is 6.2 mm. long, 4.7 mm. wide and 1.9 mm. high. The apical angle is about 105˚. The paratype is 6.0 mm. long, 5.8 mm. wide, and 2.4 mm. high, with an apical angle of about 70˚.
