Vigilius wellesi
Taxonomy
Vigilius wellesi was named by Warren and Marsicano (2000). Its type specimen is UCMP 36199, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP V4207, which is in an Aegean/Bithynian terrestrial horizon in the Moenkopi Formation of Arizona. It is the type species of Vigilius.
