Taxonomy
Alatorthotetina derbyiformis was named by He and Zhu (1985). Its type specimen is CUMT 8117 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Daijiagou Section, Longtan Member 2, Hechuan County, which is in a Wuchiapingian coastal horizon in the Longtan Formation of China.
