Taxonomy
Kargalites nandanensis was named by Zhou (1987). Its type specimen is NIGP 94474 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Liuzhai, Nandan County, which is in an Asselian carbonate limestone in the Maping Formation of China.
