Taxonomy
Gloripallium was named by Iredale (1939) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-m R Sepkoski's reference number: 1112]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Pectinidae by Lamprell and Whitehead (1992); to Decatopectinini by Dijkstra and Kilburn (2001); and to Pterioida by Sepkoski (2002).
