Brevipelta chouberti
Taxonomy
Brevipelta chouberti was named by Geyer (1994) [= Botsfordia sp. Hupé 1959 (p. 29, P1. 2, fig. 13)]. Its type specimen is PIW 93II9a, a shell (pedicle valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CH-11 (=F5), Tazemmourt Section, which is in an Atdabanian marine mudstone/conglomerate in the Amouslek Formation of Morocco. It is the type species of Brevipelta.
