Taxonomy
Mitra (Tiara) henekeni illacidata was named by Woodring (1928) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Jamaica.]. Its type specimen is USNM 369433, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Subcancilla illacidata by Petuch (1988).
