Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
J. P. Hunter et al. 2010Moderately large neoplagiaulacid multituberculate, that is, slightly larger than Mesodma thomsoni Clemens, 1964, approximately the size of the cimolodontid Cimolodon nitidus Marsh, 1889, and smaller than the cimolomyid Meniscoessus robustus (Marsh, 1889); differs from Mesodma in its higher mesial end of the serrate crest of p4 and smooth, as opposed to angled, transition between the mesial and apical edges of p4; differs from neoplagiaulacids other than Mesodma in lower first serration of p4 and lower cusp formula of m1 (6:4) with conical cusps, well separated from other cusps in the same row.
