Tylosaurus pembinensis
Taxonomy
Hainosaurus pembinensis was named by Nicholls (1988). Its type specimen is MT 2, a partial skeleton ("poorly preserved, associated anterior portion of skull, dissociated limb bones and nearly complete vertebral column"), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MDM Quarry 18, North Cox pit, which is in a Campanian offshore shale in the Pierre Shale Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Tylosaurus pembinensis by Lindgren (2005), Bullard and Caldwell (2010) and Driscoll et al. (2019).
