Taxonomy
Vediproductus mugenjin was named by Shiino (2009). Its type specimen is UMUT PB30075, a valve (Dorsal valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Shigeji-sawa Creek, Mount Kurosawa, Loc 1, which is in a Capitanian coastal sandstone in the Kamiyasse Formation of Japan.
