Janischewskina was named by Mikhaylov (1935) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-u]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Janischewskinidae.
It was assigned to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Janischewskinidae by Hayward et al. (2025).
