Taxonomy

Goniodiscus walcotti was named by Mathews (1929). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Hemiprionites walcotti by Spath (1934), Brayard et al. (2021).

H. contortus, H. hungeri

Synonyms

Hemiprionites klugi was named by Brayard and Bucher (2008). Its type specimen is PIMUZ 26062 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Waili fall section FW6, which is in a Smithian slope lime mudstone in the Luolou Formation of China.

It was synonymized subjectively with Hemiprionites walcotti by Brayard et al. (2021).
