Taxonomy
Larispirifer fantinisestinii was named by Angiolini and Stephenson (2008). Its type specimen is MPUM9460, a valve (Ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dorud East IR52, which is in an Asselian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Dorud Formation of Iran.
