Pecten (Patinopecten) lohri was named by Hertlein (1927). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pecten (Patinopecten) healeyi lohri by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Patinopecten lohri by Kern (1973), Moore (1984).
