Taxonomy
Guadalupia auricula was named by Finks (2010). Its type specimen is AMNH 44841 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM702d, Hill 5725, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Hess Formation of Texas.
