Taxonomy
Cyrtorostra limitans was named by Waterhouse (1987). Its type specimen is UQ F74358, a valve (Left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UQ L4823, Buffel Hill, Cracow Homestead, which is in an Artinskian marine siltstone in the Buffel Formation of Australia.
