Taxonomy
Pseudarca was named by Tromelin and Lebesconte (1875) [Sepkoski's age data: O Llde D]. Its type is Pseudarca typa.

It was assigned to Lyrodesmatidae by Tunnicliff (1987); to Modiomorphoida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pseudarcidae by Bouchet et al. (2010), Polechová (2022).
