Taxonomy
Elegantinia lijiangensis was named by Guo (1985). Its type specimen is IVy 0149, a valve (Left valve, external mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Changsongping, Baoshan Village, Lijiang, which is in an Induan/Olenekian marine horizon in the Lamei Formation of China.
