Taxonomy
Pterohalobia productalata was named by Guo (1985). Its type specimen is IVy 0190, a valve (Right valve, external mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Kana, Pingzhai, Qiubei County, which is in an Anisian marine horizon in the Baifeng Formation of China.
It was synonymized subjectively with Daonella boeckhi by Fang et al. (2009).
