Taxonomy
Promyalina diana was named by Guo (1985). Its type specimen is IVy 0142, a valve (Right valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Laochang, Yujia, Kayitou Fm, Fuyuan County, which is in a Griesbachian marine horizon in the Kayitou Formation of China.
