Taxonomy
Erugonia was named by Newton et al. (1987) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Nori-l Sepkoski's reference number: ZR87]. It is not extant. Its type is Erugonia canyonensis.

It was assigned to Trigonioida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Myophoriidae by Newton et al. (1987), Ros-Franch et al. (2014).
