It was recombined as Leptopterygius integer by von Huene (1922); it was recombined as Suevoleviathan integer by Maisch and Matzke (2000), Maisch (2010) and Maxwell (2018).

Matzke 2000"Maxilla low, reaches neither naris nor orbit, posterior maxillary and dentary teeth not reduced, lacrimal with long processus ventralis posterior, jugal slender, secondary premaxillary and dentary fossae irregular and not very well developed, angular very low posteriorly, dorsal countour of skull moderately vaulted, 42 presacrals, (?) less than 88 preflexurals, anterior thoracal and cervical processus spinosi rather short, coracoid rounded, ilium without anterior process."
