Ophthalmosaurus yasykovi
Taxonomy
Yasykovia yasykovi was named by Efimov (1999). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Destkii (Children's) Sanatorium area, Volga River, which is in a Tithonian marine horizon in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Yasykovia.
It was recombined as Paraophthalmosaurus yasykovi by Storrs et al. (2000); it was recombined as Ophthalmosaurus yasykovi by Maisch and Matzke (2000) and Maisch (2010).
