Taxonomy
Ravatosauropus rozhdestvenskyi was named by Dzhalilov and Novikov (1993). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Ravat tracksite, which is in a Jurassic/Jurassic lagoonal sandstone/conglomerate in the Dzhirukut Formation of Tajikistan. It is the type species of Ravatosauropus.
