Taxonomy
Eripnifera praecipitis was named by Potter (1990). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Horseshoe Gulch USNM 18138f, which is in an Ashgill carbonate packstone/wackestone in the Horseshoe Gulch Formation of California.
