Walcottoceras monsense
Taxonomy
Endoceras monsensis was named by Walcott (1924). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 64p. Cliff on southeast side of Mons glacier, above head of Glacier Lake Canyon, which is in a Skullrockian carbonate limestone in the Survey Peak Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Walcottoceras.
It was recombined as Walcottoceras monsense by Ulrich and Foerste (1936).
