Taxonomy
Orbiculoidea yangkangensis was named by Xu and Liu (1983). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Qieermagou Bed 1, 73YPVIIF3-2, Xiahuancang, Tianjun District, which is in an Anisian marine horizon in the Qieerma Formation of China.
